The weather in Toulouse today is stunning. Even though I was feeling sorry for myself I forced myself to go out and walk around. The really revolutionary thing is that I sat at a cafe table, outside, in beautiful Place St George, with hundreds of others and I wrote, but wait, with a pen and paper. It felt so good and easy to write on paper. I thought paper was against the law but apparently it is not. I think I am at least going to brainstorm and plan on paper. Oh yeah, and I took a lot of photos, but you'll have to visit my blog to see them.

This was no joke. I can laugh about it now, but I really wanted to cry, run home to my mommy, and hibernate for about 12 years. The French can be so mean, maybe that's why I like them so much! Read this story about my adventure getting my VISA at the Embassy in DC.

I keep a blog where I have lots of funny stories about moving to and living in France. I made a New Year's Resolution to post everyday so I cannot put fresh content here yet, soon though. Check it out if you like.

I love to cook and more importantly eat. The thing that I do well is make simple delicious food. Start with good ingredients and don't do too much to them and you will have a great meal. My favorite dressing for a salad is made in about 45 seconds. Here it is straight from a mother in southwest France.

Ikea, like it or not, has made some of the funniest commercials around. Here in France they play n TV. I don't think they would play on TV in the states, but I did find some in English so maybe they do.

I love to dance and to watch dancing. Here in France this new dance called the Tecktonik has taken the country by storm. The next moon walk it is. Young and old do it, but obviously it is easier for the young to do. Check it out.

I recently taught an English course at a camp in the Pyrenees for French engineering and aeronautical students. It was a lot of fun and let me see how the young French view the world. Here are the 5 strangest things.
